4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other harmful software. These cookies store information related to the respective device. However, this does not mean that we immediately gain knowledge of your identity. The use of cookies serves, on one hand, to make the use of our offering more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited certain pages of our website, logged into your customer account, or used the shopping cart. These session cookies are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Additionally, we use temporary cookies that are stored on your device for a defined period to optimize user-friendliness. When you visit our website again, it is automatically recognized that you have been with us before, and your entries and settings are saved so that you do not have to enter them again.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and optimize our offering for you (see Section 5). These cookies allow us to automatically recognize, on a revisit to our website, that you have already been with us. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period.

5. Analysis Tools

To tailor and continuously optimize our pages to meet your needs, we use various web analysis services. Pseudonymized usage profiles are created, and cookies are employed (see Section 4). Further information about each web analysis service and the option to deactivate them can be found below.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., USA. The information generated by the cookie and potentially other automatically generated information about your use of our website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Before transmission, IP addresses are generally anonymized, making direct attribution to your person not possible (IP masking). This information is used to evaluate your use of our website, generate reports on website activities for us, and provide other services related to the use of websites and the internet. At no time are your data merged with other data collected by Google. The transfer of information from Google to third parties only occurs if required by domestic or foreign regulations to which Google is subject in the respective case, or if other entities process this data on behalf of Google.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on. Alternatively, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. This sets an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. This opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website. If you delete cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

For more information on data protection related to Google Analytics, please refer to the Google Analytics Help.

6. YouTube

We integrate videos on our websites that are available on the YouTube platform (Embedded Content). YouTube is a service provided by Google Inc. Cookies from YouTube are used to evaluate video views, create reports on video usage for the owner of a YouTube account, improve the service's user-friendliness, and prevent unlawful use. Through the cookie, we receive statistical evaluations from YouTube about the playback of embedded videos on our websites. We have activated YouTube's "enhanced privacy mode," provided by YouTube, for all embedded YouTube videos on our websites. This means that YouTube only stores information when the embedded video is actually played by you. According to Google, no personally identifiable information is stored in this process. However, attribution of information to your person is possible if you are logged into YouTube or another Google service. If you do not wish this, we recommend logging out of your Google account before playing an embedded video. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser software. Please note, however, that in this case, you may not be able to play the respective video or only to a limited extent. For more information on data protection related to YouTube, consult the Privacy Guide in Google Products, as well as Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Data Security

All personally transmitted data is encrypted using the common and secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard during transmission. You can recognize a secure TLS connection, among other things, by the attached 's' in the web address (i.e., https://..) in the address bar of your browser or by the lock symbol in the lower area of your browser.

The servers we use for our website and cloud applications are located in data centers and are securely connected to the internet through a complex system architecture. The data centers are within the EU, specifically in Germany.

In addition, we implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unintentional or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. These security measures are continuously improved in accordance with technological advancements.

Additionally, you can access and edit the data stored in your customer account by logging into our website with your personal access credentials. Furthermore, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. If personal data has not been collected directly from you, you are entitled to information about the origin of this data.
